Pearl Harbor Historic Trail Workshop

Come and share your ideas WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 2015 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM Aiea Elementary School | 99-370 Moanalua Road Help Activate the Trail In 1999, the communities of Aiea and Pearl City envisioned the OR&L railroad right-of-way as a valuable asset that had the potential to meet many needs – safe bicycle and pedestrian path, natural and historic preservation projects, recreational resources, a means of opening shoreline access, and an opportunity for economic revitalization. Guided by that vision, a long-range Pearl Harbor Historic Trail Master Plan (2001) was prepared. Today, we’re continuing the effort to make the Trail a reality. How can the Trail be used and activated to make our communities healthier? How can we create accessible, attractive, and safe communities along the corridor? What are the best connections to the planned rail transit stations at Pearlridge and Aloha Stadium? Also, learn about what others have been doing along the Trail!
